Salt + Light Media releases a project of three documentaries, the first of which was released earlier this week, to help understand the deeper meaning underlying Francis’ visit to the injustice-affected communities.

As Pope Francis’ pastoral visit to Canada kicks off this Sunday, July 24, Salt + Light Media has released Walking Together to help Canadians appreciate the broader story of the journey toward a meaningful reconciliation. Fr. Alan Fogarty, Executive Producer and CEO of Salt + Light Media, reflects on the documentary.

The Papal Visit to Canada secretariat has been created by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, the national assembly of the Bishops of Canada. It was founded in 1943 and officially recognized by the Holy See in 1948. The Papal Visit team is working closely with numerous partners including the Vatican, Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers and survivors of residential schools along with government officials at the federal, provincial and municipal levels as we prepare for this historic visit.
