Arrangements for Deaf participants announced, ASL and LSQ
Sign language interpreters have been arranged for Deaf participants at most of the venues where the Holy Father will visit, but registration is required.
At this time we are accepting late registration for the Deaf section but prioritizing Deaf Indigenous for the Alberta venues.
ASL interpretation with both hearing interpreters (HIs) and Deaf interpreters (DIs) will be available at Maskwacis (25 July) and both the Holy Mass at Commonwealth Stadium and at Lac-Sainte-Anne (26 July).
LSQ interpreters are currently being arranged for the Holy Mass at la Basilique de Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec City (28 July).
You must register:
Please email Father Matthew-Anthony Hysell at Matthew.Hysell@caedm.ca if you are both Deaf and Indigenous.
Participants must arrange for their own transportation and accommodations, but please contact the leadership of your respective indigenous community for funding and support.
